Do you like it, how well did it work, how long did it take to start working?

Did anyone try Bisoprolol (beta-blocker)?

Sorry Christina, there's no cure yet for migraines. Just try to eliminate any triggers. For me, it's flashes of bright light, or eating chocolate on an empty stomach. A lot of times, you simply outgrow the migraines. There are a lot of different medications for migraines out there. If you don't like the feeling that the beta blockers give you, have your doctor try something else. A friend of mine had horrible migraines for years. She was on a VERY restricted diet and all kinds of medications. Then she found out she had TMJ problems. She got a mouth brace to help the TMJ and the migraines disappeared. I'm not saying you have TMJ, I'm just saying that try to find out why you have them.

I took one last year. I can't remember the name but it started with a M. The pill worked about an hour after I took it and sometimes worked up to 4 hours! It was miraculous, I had never had something that worked that well. I only quit taking it because I lost my health insurance and there was no generic and the cost of the prescription was 400+ dollars. But if you have good coverage, I would suggest it.

I used to take beta-blockers after a heart attack. They didn't agree with me. I don't take them now.

I used to, they made me kind of dizzy-spacey. They lessened the occurances of my headaches, but I didn't like the way they make me feel. As I have gotten older, I have gotten fewer headaches, tend toward clusters now.
