Ah, I'd been having pain when he moved too, but only when he moved certain ways. I found it helped to put a little pressure on the places he kicked that caused me pain.

People told me I should kneel on all fours to get him to change positions. It never worked for me, but it could work for your sister.

I can be painful and uncomfortable if the baby is lying on a nerve or if the head is down ready to engage that can be quite painful too. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about

I will be 8 months on thursday and everyone tells me that its normal, because since I am so small there isn't a whole lot of cushioning (fat) so when she moves in there it hurts a whole lot more then the lucky people who had a little more weight on them before they got pregnant. I hope this answered your question good luck!

You forget your baby is almost full grown in the belly, and the skin around it is also tight, so yes there should be some mild pain, anything to much to handle go to hospital.

Have just been looking at all other replies your having. concerned a little...are you having 'pain' or are you just uncomfortable? Having been through two pregnancies/childbirth, perhaps it would be in your interest to give your midwife a call just to run things by them. Best to be on the safe side.

Yes yes yes! There are a lot of internal organs around the baby, just waiting to be squished and kicked.

Certainly - there is very little room in there now! Tell her not to worry - will all be over soon. He/shes probably on a nerve - tell sis to try walking around for a bit.
