When buying from a Dollar Store, always check the label and see where it is manufactured. If from China or one of those countries, leave it on the shelf.

I guess if it's for cheap lipgloss, then it wouldn't be THAT bad (unless there was lead in it or something)..... but anything else would probably not be a good idea. Do your research - read ingredient labels and find out what is good and what is not.

It's still possible to get less expensive makeup without ruining your skin! Check out the drugstore for some cheaper brands.

I use eye shadows, blushes and lip gloss from dollar stores. I've found the best, non sticky, glosses I can only get at dollar stores. Stuff like foundation, mascara and eyeliners I would never try. And just because it says made in china does not make it bad. Almost everything in walmart is made in chinese factories!

Most makeup at the dollar store can't be trusted. A few times I have gotten really nice makeup from there. There is a line of cosmetics sold at target called ELF (stands for eyes, lips, face) and each piece is a dollar. It's actually pretty decent.

My friend got some eyeshadow palettes from a dollar store and they were amazing. I don't think about the lead content much because, heck, most of the things we use anyways are made in China!

i wouldnt suggest it. it depends on what your buying i guess. i would never use like foundation/powder from a dollar store. but i bought these bright cute eyeshadows from the 99cents store and they work pretty good and there was no reaction or anything.

if they don't have any brand names on it then you really shouldn't get them. They can cause damage to your skin.
