I have found in life that while I like to listen to the beat of my own drummer often people think my tune is out of kilter with society. They are trying to be helpful. There's no law that says you have to respond to them at all. Simply smile and move on.

If you want to show people you have your own style, then stop trying to show them and just act like yourself. If they want you to dress a certain way and you don't like it, say no. If they want to dress a certain way and you do like it, then go for it. You don't need to say anything, just show them.

Dont care what other people say.
and look confident with what youre wearing.
dont show weakness or insecurity
it gives them power.

be who you are and dont be scared. if they ask you about it tell them its what you like, if they have a prob. with it oh well
