I heard people with red hair and paler complexions are a lot more sensitive than people with other hair colors and darker pigmentation. Anyone else ever hear this? Im a redhead and pale and EXTREMELY ticklish so i believe it but i dont know if its just something made up or not.

There may actually be something to that.

I once had a teacher in high school who told our class that skin pigmentation can play a factor in sunburns and in how ticklish we are on average.

On average, an Albino (though fairly rare) sunburns the easiest and is also the most ticklish.

A Redhead sunburns second easiest and is just about as ticklish as the Albino.

The Blond comes in third followed by the brunette.

That said, we need to remember that these are averages only - not the rule. I have known redheads who were not ticklish at all (or they could control themselves easily) and I have known brunettes who were EXTREMELY HYPER TICKLISH!!!!

I hope that you enjoy the pleasures of playful tickling (when done by somebody you trust).

All the best to you!

From what I've heard, it's not necessarily a sensitivity to touch, but pale redheads tend to have a sensitivity to light. I suppose, if the two went together, it would be worth not being able to sunbathe in order to be exceptionally ticklish. Of course, it might be possible that people for whom red is a hair colour of choice to be more ticklish than those who opt for brown, blond or black, but then I doubt the reason for that would be scientific.

I've never heard this before. I know my skin certainly feels different when I have a tan in the summer, but I'm no less ticklish than in the winter when I'm more pale.

If I had to generalize about ticklishness, I'd go with body type and/or body fat percentage. I bet it's true that most people with a thin frame (or a good bit of muscle and low body fat, for that matter) are going to be more sensitive to tickling. Less of a barrier between the tickler's wiggling fingers and their doomed target(s).

I never heard that before, but it makes sense. I have brown hair and very pale skin and I am very ticklish.

Depends on the person. I have jet black hair and it looks excellent on me, and I have buddies with blonde hair that looks excellent on them.
