no one has the right to talk to you that way. even if your boss yells at you they cant yell. its unethical and they have no right. if its co workers, they need to keep their mouths shut. dont let anyone ever put you down. if i were you i would threaten to take it to court for harassment and discrimination. everyone deserves to be treated fair. if its cause youre new to the job then you should remind the other workers what it was like when they were new and to have some sympathy.

I'm glad it is only some and not all. Are you in the union? They should help (should) given the TUC stance on racism. As someone has said go to Human Resources Dept. If not there you have little choice other than to either put up with it or go to an industrial tribunal. If you do the latter you may well find things very uncomfortable indeed

Go to your company/job Human Resources department and explain (as calmly as you can) what has been going on..and if it continues, not only will you be resigning from your position, but you will be contacting a lawyer to help you file a discrimination lawsuit against the company. ANY mention of the dreaded "L" word should get the management to snap to attention.

You should quit that job. You are not a good fit with the other employees.

You can't force yourself on people. If you don't fit in there you should find a place where you do. Having the employer or government make people accept you is politically correct BS!

You may be experiencing "hostile work environment" which is not allowed by most employers. Go to Personnel - Human Resources and request a hearing.

don't quit. . . dont let them with do whatever you have to do to keep your job go to human resources or whatever but you have a right to work without them saying anything rude to them . . . if black ppl hadnt have stood up for their rights we would still be dealing with segregated restaurants and sitting in the back of the bus . . you diserve respect dont give up

There are some good answers here. I totally agree with the the one stating that if blacks hadn't stood their ground there would still be segregation today. That was right on.
