What to do with lost recipts?

i lost this recipt for some jordans i wanted to take back from foot locker my mom paid with a credit card but i was gonna do an even exchange for it but since i lost the recipt i cant now, are there any alternatives or things i can do ..everything seems hopless now

You could try showing them a copy of the credit card statement. A reputable company will always be pleased to help if you can prove that the sale was genuine. What retailers are guarding against is shoplifters stealing goods then taking them back for cash.

Talk to the shop NOW, even if the credit card statement isn't due for another month.
