i have a 1990 katana 600..i turn the key on and i get nothing..is there a fuse somewhere..battery is good..?

all the power for the bike passes thtough the ignition switch. The switch itself can handle this, but the small pigtail of wires coming out of it are a bit lacking. They melt together over the years, eventually causing a short... then the wires melt.

Usually the damage is contained withing the ignition switch, leaving the rest of the harness intact. Just replace the switch.
