Did they ever have an animal host in any of the Aliens movies?

Was the orange cat from the first and second movie ever a host for an alien? Wasn't a dog a host for an alien in the third movie? Was there ever an animal that was a host for an alien in any of the movies? If there was, what did the alien look like?

The scenes with the orange cat seem have been shot just to make you wonder about it, but the cat was never a host. In the third movie, a dog who belong to an inmate or guard on the prison planet was a host. That's how the alien got into the prison in the first place. Once it "hatched" it looked just like all the other aliens, at least from what little we could see. There were not a lot of visuals, because what you don't see can scare you way more than what you do see.
