Spend a few months thinking about what you want to do with the money.
In the meantime, collect some interest on your money by putting it a savings account or a 3-month or 6-month CD.

if you are trying to find a "charity" type thing to do with it contact a local church and ask about making a donation. If you make a donation to the church then they now have control of how it's spent.
There's always the putting it in the bank for a rainy day thing,go to your local bank and see which way would best to invest it to help your money grow.

save half of it and have fun with the rest of it. i dont know where your from or what the weather is like. but go to a theme park or something outdoors if the weather is nice and bring your best friend. go eat at a nice place. go to an arcade or to a movie. go be a mall rat for a few hours and pick out something you want. new shoes? jacket? go get your nails done and your haor done. go to one of those build a bear work shops. go get a tattoo or piercing. go to a go carting track if ya got one. golf or mini putting? go out and have fun.
