No, we have the opposite problem: because the teacher is so wary of people trying to cheat she gives extra laps to anyone she doesn't think is going fast enough. This caused quite a lot of trouble and resulted in one person staging a protest by deciding to walk the entire cross-country course. From 5 laps she ended up doing 21 and getting an hour detention every day for 3 weeks as well as dropping down in her sports levels. As long as you don't have a broken leg, you have to run.
We also tend to do PE lessons in the common which results in the teacher giving the directions "run to that tree and back 5 times", then waiting until everyone's finished before saying "Whoops, wrong tree" and sending us off again.

Thats so freaking stupid! Whats the matter with your teacher!? Nobody in my class can run mile in even 4 minutes! The lowest tiem was 5:30 for this one guy who is VERY much in shape.
Okay, you REALLY need to tell the teacher. It's SO not fair!
Okay, if my teacher knew about this, the kid would get detention. For a long time. Or in BIG trouble. Shes strict!
And if someone finished in 2 minutes, my teacher whould just look at them. She would never believe that. Then, she'd give them a detention for lying or something.
You NEED to tell your teacher. Have too.
omg it takes me almost 11 minutes to run a mile. lol.
Just tell! It's the right thing to do! And those ppl will probably get in trouble for cheating. And you'll feel much better that you told.
(but try to do it secretly, or will some friends) you never know if the ppl cheating would want to seek revenge.
If they do try to make yuour life terrible, tell the principal lol.

yep all the time... the teacher marked a kid down for 1 minute, then 10 minutes later was like, "hey, isn't that a world record?" they are so ignorant.. I am one of the only kids that actually runs

My pe teacher is even stupider. He times one lap and multiplies it by 4 and that's our mile time. it's very inaccurate and not fair really. The endurance runners get a worse mile time than the sprinters, but usually, it would be the other way around.

Even when I was in school I only had to walk for P.E. I'm a severe asthmatic and had a doctor's note :) I couldn't run to save my life. So I never paid attention to anyone else, I just walked the track with my friends, or sat on the bleachers with all the other delinquents.

i have this gym teacher, and she favors all of the girls over the guys. we have to go to the weightroom for about 20 minutes each gym class. even though she isn't watching us, she tells us that we (the guys) aren't working our hardest, and need to take more time, even though we are lifting 3x as much weight as the girls. they sit around and talk to each other while they do 5 curls with a 3 lb weight, but she doesn't care. it's pretty annoying. there was also one time when our volleyball game was over, so we started to hit it around. she gave all of the guys zeros, because we weren't doing what we were supposed to, while the girls stood to the side, and got 100's for the day.
