You did something to provide a ground for that circuit since they have power all the time, even key off. check the power and ground wires you just installed by disconnecting them one at a time to see which one is causing the problem

Can you post the vehicle year make and model?

Did you use a factory harness adapter? Or did you splice the wires. There is a green Illumination wire in the factory harness, this may be tied to other things, if it is connected, try disconnecting it. Other than that it could be a coincidence, and have nothing to do with the radio, you could just have a bad door switch, most cars have them built into the latch, and they tend to stick in the winter time.
