Moon, Myths are ideas. Not only are they ideas but they are 5000 years of evolution of the human psyche. If you discount myth, you discount the story of social and intellectual evolution.

I'm with SusanS on the everything happens in 3's...it does. And it scares the hell out of me...
I will not TOUCH a penny on the ground that is laying tales up...you can't make me!
I have roughly 18 more months before my luck starts improving after my last broken mirror incident 5 1/2 years ago.
If I need to get somewhere and the only way to get there is walking under an open ladder, whatever it is will have to wait until the ladder is folded up and/or moved. I will also freak out if you walk under said ladder.
It is bad luck to throw away money (like in the garbage). Doing this will bring upon you bad fortune and financial problems. This poses inner turmoil for me when I drop a penny on the ground and it lands tails up.
If I knock over the salt shaker and some spills onto the table, I must throw a handful of salt over my left shoulder before doing anything else.
If I or anyone else says "I never" to a negative situation, I always knock on wood, or the nearest thing that resembles wood (could be my head).
When my nose itches, someone's coming to visit. Always.
When my ears itch, I'm being talked about.
I'm sure there's more I can't even think of...
Oh, and never turn your mattress on a Sunday, you'll have bad dreams and restless sleep. ;o)
