what is this and whats it mean?

well i have 2 kids, my youngest is 1 year old, i havent had sex in like 3 months give or take a weeks or so, and yesterday i felt a discharge so i went to the bath room and there was a clear slimy substance with a little greyish brown circular thing in the slime, i didnt cramp or anything, and i am not on my period! can anyone help me determine what this could be, kinda embarasing, also i dont know if it matters, i was on the shot for 6 months but i havent gotten one since june of this year, thanks

There are a number of possibilities for what could be causing this such as a clot but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
