Beaches. It's about two girls that meet as children, become penpals, and always stay in touch. One becomes famous, the other has a child. The one who has the child is dying, and the famous one promises to look after the child when she is gone. Very emotional.

Meet Joe Black.....if you haven't seen it we don't want to tell you for fear of spoiling it.
Mighty Joe Young.....it isn't sad all the way through but ditto above.
United 93 ....this really happened & knowing that makes it so much more poignant.
Ghost......it is funny and sad too. Omg it makes me fill up just thinking about it lol.
Angela's Ashes ......from start to finish there are sad bits, there is humour too but a lot of "get the Kleenex" moments.
The author of the book by the same name is Frank McCourt & it makes me cry & laugh out loud. It is a really good story & it is based on Frank McCourt's life. We would definately recommend both the film & the book.
Stepmom......now there's a weepy!

I went to the cinema to see it. When the curtains came to a draw one and a half hours in, I thought, "yay I can go for a pint now".
Then my friends said "that was the intermission"
I was and still am, livid. I live in the city the behemoth was built, and I cannot believe for one second that people take so much pride in a waste of life and money. Exploiting it's embarassment with a Hollywood budget was the only thing I cried about.

Saving Private Ryan - sad, I cried a little

Terms of Endearment - bawled like a freaking BABY at the end of this one. It's an oldie, but oh what an AMAZING film

Beaches - very sad, yep - shed a few tears

Steel Magnolias - yep - cried.

These are all sad because they deal with the loss of loved ones.

In a different way, I think that Stand By Me is sadder than Titanic.I thought that the wee boys were totally honest about how they felt and were gutted that their adventure was to find a poor wee soul who had been hit by a train!!
