I'm not really sure as to what this means.

Does it mean that they've won all 15/15 of their previous matches?

Or that they've played more and some have been draws? i.e. if they were to draw in their next match their streak would still be alive?

Australia have won 15 consecutive Tests which means 15 consecutive wins.

Australia are unbeaten in 21 Tests which mean they've won or drawn there last 21 matches.

There last defeat came in the fourth Test of 2005 Ashes, 28 months ago.

This link shows there record over the past three years:

BTW Australia's home record over the last nine years reads:
Played: 53
Won: 44
Drawn: 7
Lost: 2 - England in Sydney 02/03, India in Adelaide 03/04

Only four of these Tests were against minnows (ZIM & BAN)

Good Luck India for the rest of the series, you'll need it.

yes mate we have won 15 of our previous tests in a row....16 is our record so we are going for the record in the 3rd test..ih well i do suppose we better wait to equal it before breking it ...but ricky ponting did say yesterday at trophy presentation that it is'nt really on his mind at the moment.like he said we have to concentrate on wining the matches, not breaking records...if they draw the next match then i'd say no we would proberly have to start all over again..a draw is'nt a consecutive win so we blow it...

Once you say most consecutive victories, it should be the victories without any defeat or draw in between. I strongly feel that if any test is drawn, the winning streak should be interrupted.

Australia has developed a winning attitude and that is important in any game. With such positive attitude they have taken game to higher level. There is huge difference between them and the nearest team.
