I in elementary terms thumb down if an answer is insulting. i do no longer see the element in thumbing-down somebody who has a distinctive opinion to me, with the aid of fact all and sundry is entitled to their very own. What annoys me is while human beings deliver advantageous messages to a distinctive person (e.g. 'get nicely quickly), or answer a query like 'What have you ever achieved this weekend?', and individuals thumbs-down completely sensible solutions.

I managed to stop the thumbs down brigade a few questions ago by saying that everyone who agrees with me just give me a thumbs down. It worked !!! Suddenly I started getting thumbs up. Nothing like confusing the enemy.
