That's a difficult question to answer. My dad was the most important man in my life from the time I was born.... always looking after me & taking care of me. And now I have my husband to "take over" those duties. I love them both for different reasons. Plus... they are different kinds of love. I love my Dad but I'm IN love with my husband.

My father passed when I was 15 and I still love him dearly. I love them equally in different ways. I love my father as my best friend and then man who loved and raised me, I love my husband as my other half and the person I hope to spend the rest of my life with and have a big happy family with.

im not married but have a boyfriend but i still live at home but i have asked this question to many people and as you will find you love them both a hell of a lot you may not get on with your father but when he goes youll be devestated.
i love my dad a lot and couldnt be without him although i do still live at home with him and my mam and he drives me mad but we are gud friends too so to answer your question it is a different love that you feel for your spose then your parent
