I've seen alot of hate (excuse me we're just venting) here on RHH. Let's switch it on em and give me one good thing about Hip Hop.

I was reading something and it made alot of sense... I'm going to basically sum it up in my own words because I can't find the link nor can I tell you what it said verbatim:

People basically bash hip-hop all the time saying things like; Rappers don't rap about anything positive, they only rap about b*tches, cars, and clothes... And drugs... They're videos are full of h*es, etc. BUT behind the scenes, there are other people they need to make their music and videos happen. Thanks to rappers, those people's families are eating... THANKS to rap/hip-hop. There are the video directors, stylist, photographers, choreographers etc. A majority of the time, they're black... They give black people more jobs... Some younger people may not want to be rappers... They may want to be photographers, stylist, etc... And they know they'll be able to do just that in the hip-hop world.

Also, ANOTHER positive thing about rap/hip-hop it gives us (the younger generation) the motivation to do alot of things. People forget that rap is ENTERTAINMENT... And for the people that don't know the exact meaning of entertainment, it's: "Something affording pleasure, diversion, or amusement, esp. a performance of some kind."

With that being said... Rap/hip-hop gives us the drive and motivation to get up in the morning and go to school so that we can be the best. It gets us hype... You know. After hearing them rap about what they got now and how they may have struggles, we want to go to school and have money to be able to provide for our families and know what it's like to live the life they're living.

*SIGH* I feel like I was rambling, but I hope all of this made sense.

hip hop vs. america although many people wont agree with this i think hip hop finally got a chance to speack about y we feel its attcked i know people dont like nelly in that spot but dude made some incredible points and i commend him or that as well as t.i. who constantly states stop letting teh t.v. be the parent for ur child and take an active role in ur childrens lives i respect these two breothers for a strong defense in the music that has been apart of our lives for a long time
