Another beginner here... I haven't been able to hit the slopes for about two years, and so my board's been sitting in my closet. After recent inspection, I noticed that my edges are all rusty and the the screws attaching my bindings to my board have also become somewhat rusty. Is there anything I should do about this? Or will it be okay to just tighten the screws and go with it?

Don't know about the screws, but rust on the edges will often come of if you rub the edges with a scourer. Superficial rust will also usually come off after a run or two. If the rust is more than superficial take the board to a board or ski shop and ask for a tune. They will sharpen the edges which will remove the rust.
