What is something you wish you would have known at 17 years old?

To start putting $2,000 per year away and let it draw interest over the years for my senior years. OR put it in a 401K. And not touch it for any reason at all until I retired as a senior.
I am now 70 years old, and kids I know what I am talking about! If you will do this, you will have a million bucks to retire on. And you WILL need lots of money to retire on.
Make sure your home and "new" car are paid for before you retire.

That education really is very important. That moving out is a bad idea when it is not necessary. That the first guy I fall 'in love' with, most likely will not be there 'forever and always'. That growing up isn't all that its cracked up to be. But mostly, I wish I knew how precious moments with my family were, now that we are all older, being together isn't easy like it used to be.

DO NOT get married! DO NOT let anyone into your heart -- for your heart will be SHATTERED ... your HARD WORK (and everything you earned, saved or had) will be in the pocket of someone who will violently abuse you and torment you for decades (and this is even after the divorce) ... and you will end up having nightmares/flashbacks for the rest of your life ...
BUT ...
AT LEAST YOU WILL LIVE through that last night .... and so will your babies because you are STRONG ENOUGH to survive .... and get to the hospital for care.

i wish i would have known Jesus at 17 the way i know Him now...would have saved me and a lot of other folks a whole heap of heartache!
but at least I know Him now!
