My girlfriend says that hers are 15 seconds long, is that short? How long are they on average?

I am sure that it will be far too intense for me to be timing it! I don't think there is an average!

I don't know for sure because I can't find my old college women's studies textbooks, but I think that's a few seconds longer than average (don't listen to this 60-second garbage; no one could STAND that if the orgasm was any good at all!).
They can and do vary in duration and intensity, though.

Until just before I require CPR. I think 15 seconds is far to short, that sounds like the McDonald's of orgasms to me.

Well, according to the International Orgasm Standards Board, it is against the law in many countries, including Sweden, Swaziland, Brazil, Canada, the U.S., Paraguay, New Zealand and Liechtenstein for a woman's orgasm to be shorter than 22.15 minutes. However, in Denmark, it CANNOT exceed 28.6 minutes, unless a Standard Waiver of Orgasm Extension has been filed with the Department of Climactic Regulation.

It varies. I think if you are really having an orgasm there is no way you would be timing it.
