The first would have to be :CI2, diiodocarbene. There is no compound CI2.

BH3 is borane. It actually exists as B2H6, diborane.

As to breaking apart a molecule of acetone, you'dhave to provide an equation and thermochemical data. What is the complete statement of the problem?
