i cant figure out how to get a pet on the regular sims 2. not the sims 2 pets just the regular sims 2.help me please

You need to have the pets expansion on the computer or play pets on the console. There is no other way.

The Sims 2 base game does not allow pets. You have to have the Sims 2: Pets expansion pack in order to get pets.
If you have Pets, you can adopt a dog or cat through the phone by calling the pet adoption agency, or you can take your sims downtown to a pet store and buy them a pet.

The only pet you can get in the sims is a fish. That's it otherwise you will have to buy the sims 2 pets.

You need to have Sims 2 pets. Than go to the pet store, and adopt a pet.

I have had the same question. Aperiantly <===spelled wrong, you can have a dog in the sims 2 expansion pack. it is not very expensive now. i believe it is $25 or $30 dollors. if you have anymore questions or need help, just contact me. maybe we could help eachother i just got the sims 2 deluxe and is having a litlle hard time. âºâºâº
