I think its ludicrous. She has the money for regular checks (which the British women dont get offered by their docs til they are 50) she has the ability to go for treatment immediately - no waiting lists etc. So she did it bravely and maybe raised awareness of the issue to some younger women. But its not worth an honour. thousands of women struggle to bring up families whilst battling this, and they arent even given a mention.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this...I personally do not like her voice and do not have any of her music but she seems like a really lovely person but to me it seems that she is really getting an honour for recovering from cancer!!!
I'm sure I will get the thumbs down from many people but there are so many other people that deserve recognition for the work that they do,sadly they are not house-hold names and will not receive the rewards they truely deserve.

I can definitely see where you are coming from. I haven't got anything against her either, and she has been very brave, fighting her illness in the media spotlight, and then continuing with her music at the first possible point, but millions of women suffer from breast cancer, and still have to get on with their lives and they do not get awards for doing it. A friend of mine is fighting breast cancer, but is still working and looking after three kids at the same time, surely people like her are more worthy of an award. xx

I agree .
Although I don't know if you agree, but so far, I have heard nothing but people a55 kissing her since she has recovered. People carrying on as though she is the only cancer survivor.
However, Iam not sure if I agree with you on the hadn't got the money part etc. because look at Linda McCartney. she was richer than Kylie & she died!!!
No, Iam not being personal..iam telling it like it is!!

Scrap the whole honours list nonsense; A singer? An interviewer? Tony Blair's spokesman? I would love to be offered one just to tell them where to stick it!

It's a bit of a waste of time getting an honour ,isn't it, if you're not British -you can't collect it from the palace -remember Spike Milligan

No she does not deserve it. I agree with everything you have written.
Kylie is totally lost on me - I just do not see the attraction of a whining midget Australian actress/singer - whatever.
There are many more people - ordinary people and singers who are much more deserving.

No i dont really think she does deserve the honour, she is a good performer - not the best singer but she hasnt really done anything that amazing.
I think there are probably others who deserve it more.

I totally agree with all your comments, these awards are being cheapened year on year when handed out to pop stars and footballers, its no wonder everyone aspires to be a "celebrity" these days.
