the correct answer is aragog and the basilisk ... a lot of people wrote the right answer so i'm leaving it for voting ^_^

Aragog married Mosag and now leads the spiders in the forest. The basilisk lived alone and worked for the heir of Slytherin.
Aragog's still alive, but the basilisk was killed by Harry and lost a tooth in the process.
Aragog was blamed for Myrtle's death and refused to tell Hagrid that it was really the basilisk.
And Aragog has eight eyes, which have gone blind with old age, while the basilisk had two which were pecked out by Fawkes."

Mrs. Smith is the married leader and the single slave is Hokey the house elf and died and Tom Riddle actually killed her not Hokey and it was ten years separating the two memories that Harry was showed and ten years before anyone heard from him as Lord Voldemort.

a single slave - wormtail - he was not married, acted like a slave to voldy
toothless elder reminds me of gindelwald (he had eldar wand and was toothless) 'now gone to his grave' because voldy sent him
the death for which the younger took the blame - harry took the 'blame' of voldy's 'death'
committed by the one he could not name - obviously voldy (his name was taboo plus people afraid to say it)

Firstly I don`t live in the USA as for your puzzle its confusing if you think of the main characters
The married leader is Hepzibah Smith and the enemy is Tom Riddle.
The tootless elder = Hepzibah
which the younger = Hokey
one he could not name = Voldemort
ten between them = the ten years Tom Riddle diseapeared
If not he could also be Barthy Crouch but Hezipath is more likely.
