He thought it was a good campaign slogan so he used it.
If by dignity he meant corruption, lying, ignoring the constitution and threats to the United States, breaking international laws and treaties, having a male hooker in the White House, outing a CIA operative for revenge, and making bizillions in profits for his friends and cronies, he has achieved it.

Well, you know how George gets his words mixed up. I think he meant to say "difficulty" and in answer to your other question, he is doing really well with the project. Things are about as difficult in the Oval office as I can remember. Thing about Monica is I can not recall how many Americans lost their lives or were crippled for life because Slick Willy got the hummer. Oh well, George is a Republican so that makes it all right. Oh, yeah, if he did actually mean "dignity", its just another failure of the Bush administration. Just a thought.

He meant he would not allow such behavior as high officials messing with White House interns. Instead he wanted something dignified--like Mark Foley chasing pages and his "spiritual advisor" Ted Haggard using meth adnd male prostitutes.
None of this undignified boy-girl stuff, though. Bush is a stickler for "moral values."

He must have been talking about the presidency of Afghanistan - Hamid Karzai is very dignified, and cuts quite a figure in those Karakul hats and green silk robes, doesn't he? If only we had a President like him...

No more stains on the Oval Office rug, no more shady cattle futures profits, no more sale of secrets to the chinese, no more Lincoln Room Bed & Breakfast to donors, no more chinese contributions, no more impeachable offenses, no more wholesale pardons of convicted felons - stuff like that. It started on the day he took office. No need to thank me. Happy to help.
