Going with a young lady then i would splash out and buy at the cinema. If i was taking my sisters kids, i would stop at the local supermarket and buy them what they needed!!

people with double standards, eh??

Supermarket. My friend was a manager for years at the local cinema and the concession is where they make the money. Everything is priced high. The only way around it is to bring in your own snack. Share a popcorn, if you must have it, but bring in a bottle of water and candy.

Is this cheating? Of course not. The owners can mark down the candy to a better price and not gouge people; then they will still sell the stuff and make a profit. But at their prices, they drive others to bring in what they can, without getting caught. Sad, isn't it?

Given the exhorbitant price demanded by the cinemas it makes no sence but to buy cheaper elsewhere.

Cinemas are in fact funded through the sales of popcorn.

So - if you want to go on visiting them you will have to sponser them by buying their product.

or of course you could just buy a bag of corn - light the gas ring - wait for those lovely popping noises to stop and curl up under the duvet with a DVD.

I'd definitely buy them in a supermarket- It's so much cheaper!

You can get cinema style popcorn, just like what they sell in there for about half the price in the supermarket!

When I take my kids we usually stock up before hand. If it's me and my hubbie or friends I always buy a medium popcorn that costs about £2000000! Cinema is such a massive rip off and most people I know don't buy anything 'cept the tickets there!

I buy everything at the place i am already at, there is no sense in going somewhere else to get something when thats not even the place that you are going too. Just buy your stuff at the cinema!

At the supermarket. For the cost of one box of candy at the theater, you can buy three or four at the store. Just carry a big purse so you can hide it all.

The only think I buy at the cinema is popcorn...and that is unusual. I have a friend who works at a theater who told me that if you sneak the food past the ticket taker, then they cannot take it from you.
