so i went to cuba in 2002..WOW what an experience!!! its beautiful there!! yes i stayed at a resort and drank alot and went to the beach and all that fun stuff, but then i went into the town. there is SO much poverty there. i packed an extra suitcase with clothes, toys, eyeglasses, bibles, etc..
and i paseed them out. amazing to see a little kid LOVE a mcdonalds toy. we are so spoiled with out internets, a/c and all that fun stuff. lol you never really know just how much you have until you meet somone who has nothing. great experience, i am going back next year =]

Hot, like warm? then Spain would be your best bet. It is cheap, and a lovely place to visit. If you visit the area close to Portugal, you could swing over there for the day. Or fly into Faro, Portugal, and stay on the coast. Cheap, cheap, cheap once you get there.
Germany is also nice. Europe isn't as cheap as it was before the Euro but if you watch where you eat, and stay in hostels, you can have a grand time for a little bit of money.
Check out Rick Steve's website, or his books. We always use them to travel with, and they give you good tips on where to stay on a budget.

well my best place to date is Cuba,it is very hot and the scenery is breath taking.there is lots of history in the country and u get to see how these people live it is truly amazing the strength of some of these people and as it is a Communist country most of them really have no clue what goes on outside.i had fun meeting these guys and exchanging stories with them,it is like a whole different world there,i swam with dolphins 3 times which was one of the best things i have ever done highly recommended u do this at least once where ever u choose.so yes Cuba well i like it anyway!

If you want hot Rome was gorgeous but it's a bad time of year to visit because of air pollution. I had such a horrible respiratory infection after only one day there but the sights are INCREDIBLE!! To see the old ruins, the Coliseum, is something I'll never forget in a million years.

Puerto Rico because you can go there without a passport. Well I would not recommend it if you like Mickey D's though!

What is your nationality? Maybe you can travel to your country of ancestral origin. That is a great idea for family, etc. good luck.

Cambodia

Anywhere but bloody Spain, unless you want culture that has been diluted to suit your needs. Probably. If you've an active imagination then go somewhere that gives you ample scope to exercise it.

Oh, and Eastern Europe isn't as good as people make it out to be. It's humble and weird rather than humble and inviting.

Greece, baby, no where better than Greece. The beaches are amazing, go to any island and you'll fall in love. The food is amazing, the people are even more amazing and willing to welcome you and treat you like family. The night life is outstanding, the people themselves are hot. Many, many attractive people. There is not a single negative aspect to Greece. Trust me, go there and you'll never want to leave. And if you want more reasons: http://gogreece.about.com/cs/greece/a/toptenreasons.htm

Southern Cyprus- The beaches are amazing, the sun's out all year round, and the locals are always traditionally lovely Greeks.
