All of these are refurbished laptops that will cost 300 to 350 pounds (600-700 USD). They are mainly a mix of compaq and HP.

#3 - in this case larger is better e.g. ram, speed, hd. of course you didn't include price which would be another factor...

although for vista I think you're better off with at least 2GB.

MultiMedia can be as demanding as high-end gaming, so 2GB RAM is virtually a minimum requirement on XP and mandatory using Vista, as is a large hard drive.

So, without knowing each laptop's cost, I would think that # 3 with an additional 1GB RAM, is the most usable of the group. Huge L2 Cache is the big feature. It is also assumed that the graphics is decent on this unit.

BTW, the Make, Model and Price really would have helped.
