Going downtown to see a big fireworks display. I like the pretty ones, but don't care much for the loud boomers. That's about as much "sparks" as I see flying this year, LOL.

My friend and I bang pots and pans outside and scream Happy New Year, and then burn sparklers until 2am. We've learned to dodge rocks after waking my crabby neighbors up though. We learned our lesson about fireworks when a bottle rocket fell over and spun on the ground, shooting through the neighborhood and burning our legs.

I do not have to shoot fireworks as I am surrounded by the fireworks afficionados of the county. They are on all sides of me. It doesn't even require a holiday for the show but if there is a holiday, it's an impressive display.

I might be going to a friend's house,
and her brother brought illegal fireworks
(in California, it's against the law to
have fireworks that go above the houses, in the air)
So if I''m at her house, I sure am,
starting the year of illegally, woo hoo!

Lol nah, not too miuch hoopla going on for me this year, although I will be at a small party. I have the NHL Winter Classic to be up and ready for the next day, though!
