If I never knew about the previous world wars, if I never knew about terrorism, if I never new about disease, if I never knew about the starving people in the world, if I never knew I would die, if I never knew about the risks of cars, or being run over by them, if I never knew I needed to eat, if I never knew I was cold or in pain, if I never knew I was being punched, kicked and killed.
There would be no pain, but my bliss would be short lived.
I know about these things, and I am happy, so I believe I get more bliss out of knowing, than by not knowing.

From a very selfish point of view I think it is. I've had my world turned upside down by revelations and things will never be the same again. Having said that, I think you can only live a real and honest life if you are in possession of all the facts. I like to listen to the news and read papers in order to understand what is happening in the world too.
Ignorance is bliss but is also a waste of life.

Those who refuse to take the blinkers off see ignorance as bliss, the rest of us see it for what it really is..

No not always
For example - if I was driving down a road that led to a cliff drop, I'd like to be warned about it
Its the same with some other things too

There's some things in life we can turn a blind eye to,
But I can't ignore the pain and suffering and global warming.
Thank you :)

I don't know that it is bliss. But it is good for excuses.
