Your question has to do with the reasons behind life. Point of life questions therefore require God. Evolution, like all mindless natural processes, does not give purpose, meaning or a point to life.

And we can't just invent answers. The only way to get your question answered is to seek God. Seeking God is the point.

Our lives are part of one big evolution. We are here now, and who knows what kind of creatures will be here in 1 million years. Everyone needs to find his own point of living so he/she could be happy living on his/her own way. I am happy that I exist and my point is creating something all the time, helping people and finding myself as part of this universe.
