Hey guys, i really need help. I have a wireless-g router with modem by linksys on one computer. I just got another new computer and my old network adapter isnt working [picking up connection from the comp with router] because windows vista isnt compatible with my old adapter, so my adapter isnt even recognized.

now im wondering how to figure out which adapters are compatible with my WCG200 linksys router/modem
its a wireless-g thing so i dont know if that has anything to do with it

but someone please tell me some network adapters i could maybe find at bestbuy that would work with my router. thanks

Well any 802.11g adapter should work.

But before you run out to buy a new one, did you check the OLD card's manufacturer website to see if new VISTA drivers are available. Many drivers are now available to update and still use those cards. SO check that before anything else!

If you really want to be sure, get a linksys adapter card!

Since you didn't say PCI, PCMCIA, USB etc.. don't know which card to tell you? Is this for a Laptop a Desktop, do you want it in the card slot or USB connection etc?

Try WUSB54GC from Linksys. It is a Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter that is compatible for Windows Vista. Linksys has drivers available for your OS.

You can go to http://www.linksys.com/vista and check the list of available drivers for Linksys adapters. Just click on download drivers.
