Get a wireless router. To future-proof yourself, get one that uses Draft N. The spec. is 802.11 b/g/n.

b = 11 megabits transfer speed
g = 54 megabits transfer speed
n = 300 megabits transfer speed

Your current laptops may not be able to use "n" but the ones you buy in the future will! If you want your current laptops to be able to use wireless n, you can buy a pcm/cia card that can use n and plug it into the side of your laptop.

Any computer you want to be able to use on your wireless network will have to have built-in wifi or in the case of a desktop, you will have to add a wifi card. Wifi cards come with built-in antennas.

I'm guessing that you mean a router. You need a wireless router , along with wi-fi antennae for each computer that will be hooking up to it.
