Yes. Voter fraud is rampant in this country. Unfortunately the party committing it will never be taken to task on it. That's why I have to laugh when they say Bush stole the election.

Americans have to wait until they are 21 to drink (in most states) and 18 to smoke, and need to show ID to purchase these products. I don't know why they shouldn't require ID to vote as well.

Sure, this is your right to do so, but there should be some specific guidelines preventing people from stealing other people's votes.

I'll go one step further. PHOTO ID should be required. Without requiring ID, anyone can register come in and CLAIM to be the person that is registered to vote. Without a Photo ID, someone could swipe a voters ID and the election officials would not know it was not them.

I think yes.

people who for whatever reason are legal citizens but cannot get a photo ID from the DMV (they offer ID cards as well as drivers licenses) could get approval at their local courthouse (or whereever it is that they vote) and get a temp. voter ID card.
They would have to bring documentation that they are exactly who they say they are.. but it does away with the "some people can't afford it" problem..

Yes, and it should be free and easy for the registered voter to obtain, with provisional voting procedures in place for those who show up at polling stations without proper ID. No one should ever be disenfranchised over a technicality.

Absolutely. Otherwise when your name is checked off of the Voter List how does the checker know that it is you and not someone trying to vote under your name. Connecticut requires your Drivers License, something with your picture on it.

Absolutely YES!!!! Only legal citizens should be given the "right" to vote. There is alot of fraud out there, and you see the majority of the politicians pandering to those who are not legal in this country. How does that make you feel? I would be careful of a "national type" RFID chip inserted into its citizens, brings to mind 1984.

Yes

Yes. It's required everywhere else already.

Edit: Better still, a National ID to differentiate citizens from non-citizens.
