Does anyone else think paying around $50 is outrageous for jeans? I don't like paying anything over $20-25. It's getting harder to find jeans around that too. Anyone know of any stores that I could find jeans are 20-25? I usually get my jeans from Aero. I won't shop at Wal-Mart or KMart, so don't say them

Most department stores (JC Penny) and small clothing store chains (Gap, Old Navy) sell jeans for $50 or less. They seem to have constant sales too. One thing to remember is that fit is very important as is the style you choose for your body. Everyone has issues, that are addressed better by some brands than others. For example, the old tried and true Levi's brand has many different fits and lengths for a lot of different figure types. Most of their jeans are less than $50. You have already eliminated the lower end jeans when you boycott discount stores. Expect to get what you pay for.

It is not outrageous to pay $50+ for jeans if they are good quality and will last a lifetime. Cheaper jeans will rip /tear easier, and will look grungier over time than a pair of nice jeans.
Also, its possible to get them for uner $50- you just have to shop at the right time. For example, Express sells AMAZING jeans... and alot of the time they have $20 off sales on jeans, and right now they have buy 1 get 1 50%. And alot of the times you can get them for $20 or $30 on clearance racks.

Maybe try Plato's Closet if you have one in your area, as well.

I pay $250 for some pairs of jeans so to me $50 isn't that outrageous. With the exception of Lux jeans from Urban Outfitters and Levis I only wear designer jeans like True Religion,Seven For All Mankind because there really is a difference. The material holds better, and you can tell by feeling the material that its better quality and the fit tends to be more tailored.Ive tried jeans at AE,Gap etc and ive never had jeans fit me as well as the more high end brands.Try going to Marshalls and TJ Maxx. They sell brands of stores you see at the mall like AE,Levis, etc for less as well as designer jeans.

$50 isn't that bad for brand name jeans. They last longer then other jeans. But is you wanna buy jeans for $20-$25 go to Old Navy or outlet stores.

I don't think it's outrageous. I buy brand name jeans like True Religion and Seven downtown on clearance for about $60. They have a really nice fit and they're worth it. Aeropostale fits me really bad, the legs are too wide. mandee.com has a lot of good quality jeans. abercrombiekids are a little expensive for their washes but they look sorta cute too. I also like jeans from LuckyBrand and Nordstrom.

Depends. Sometimes, I have found that cheap jeans are fine, and other times bad as they fall apart quicker, including big brand names we all know. Usually store brands (e.g. Canyon Blues from JCPenny's) will be cheaper than national brands. I have also found that as long as you know your fit and size preferences, you can occasionally find jeans online.
