what are the similarities between geroge bush and lincoln. i don't want simple similarities such as they are both republicans, and stupid facts. but similarities that go beyond and have depth.

also the similarities between the war on terorism and the civil war and how it was instituted

Similarities? Normally you want to compare and contrast good with better, and bad with worse, not best with worst.

Abe Lincoln was the wisest, most thoughtful, most profound and articulate leader this country has ever had. He won the presidency honestly, saved the union and was re-elected by a wide and clear margin.

George Bush is the dumbest, shallowest, least articulate, human being ever to gain leadership of a great nation. He trashed his opponent (McCain) by smearing him with lies to become the Republican candidate, lost the election but via chicanery managed to get appointed to the job anyway. He disastrously wasted the lives of thousands of Americans while turning a budget surplus into a huge deficit. He secured a second term by resorting to the lowest possible smear tactics, gay-bashing and fear-mongering. Many still believe the God Party stole that election somehow. He has solved nothing, accomplished nothing except to make the rich richer and the environment dirtier. A draft cheater and failure as a businessman, he has embarrassed and disgraced us around the world.

Lincoln was wise and humble. George Bush is stupid and arrogant. He believes God wanted him to be president, so he can do no wrong. We will never recover from all the damage done by George Bush. Future generations will shake their heads and wonder how America could have let such an obvious cheater and incompetent get that much power.

One last contrast: Twenty years after Lincoln's death nearly everyone in the North claimed to have voted for him. Twenty years from now you won't be able to find anyone admitting they voted for George Bush.

Both the Bush and Lincoln administrations were filled with corruption where high level officials were making obscene profits off the war and at the expense of the soldiers.

Both presidents had children of military service age who did not serve in the wars their fathers started.
