I taught my self how to do one but i tend to spread my legs and bend my legs... I land with my legs together and with my legs straight but i cant have them together and straight in the air!

first try it on the tramp; lock ur legs. do it until ur really good. then lock ur legs on the tramp while doing it off the bar. then practice it on the ground. only think about locking your legs. :D

Maddie is right. Put something between your ankles/shins. A small stuffed animal like a beanie baby will do the trick.

Put a small ball between your lower legs. Don't let it go flying when you do a backhandspring. It helps if you have something you are trying to squeeze.
