Hi,

For this problem, we need to use the FOIL Method which stands for:

First

Outer

Inner

Last

Therefore, we will be multiplying the following:

( [x][x] ) + [ -2x ] + [ 5x ] + [ -10 ]

Now, simplify the above expression to get:

x ^ 2 + 3x - 10 <==== FINAL ANSWER

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

=)

FOIL

(x times x) + (x times -2) + (5 times x) + (-2 times 5)
x² + (-2x) + 5x + (-10)
x² + 3x - 10

oh this is one where you have to foil (first, outside, inside, last)
That describes what you have to multiply

First (x)(x)= x^2

Outside (x)(-2)=-2x

Inside (5)(x)=5x

Last (5)(-2)=-10

x^2+3x-10
