Definitely. I was a student back in the 60's and the world was full of doomsday scenarios. Nuclear winter, overpopulation, and Communism had people scared to death. It is amazing how smart people solve problems almost as quickly as careless and selfish people create them. People also seem to forget past problems and latch onto new ones. We often forget the high cost of health care is because we have invented new medicines and treatments. The high cost of housing happened because we started moving out of apartments. Food shortages usually occur only where people are severely oppressed. We have conflicts everywhere but have not seen the nation versus nation wars of the mid 20th Century.
The TV writer strike will end soon and I will be able to watch my favorite shows in peace.
