The pen or pencil would have to be real close. I mean, right there. Oh forget that...the notepad would be all the way in the kitchen. i would just go.

It is generally not a good idea to evaluate somebody else's life choices based on what "everybody" says. For "some" people, that is certainly true that the guy won't leave his wife. But in your case, you are divorcing him well after the fact - so, WHY oh why are you even concerned about whether or not he goes running to her? Since you no longer want him, what difference does it make? IF you had been able really to repair and renew your marriage bond (merely staying together grimly does not count), you would not be divorcing him. Clearly he is capable of all kinds of deceptive behavior, including but not limited to sneaking around and lying to you for more than a year, so the fact that he has slagged her off in front of other people and now is running to her seems pretty consistent with that, doesn't it? But even beyond that, he never really returned to you "emotionally" - since you say yourself that he probably didn't leave because you threatened suicide, he probably felt like a hostage back in your marriage - and you probably felt as though you had taken a hostage, since you saw the connection he had with her. Don't spend a lot of time evaluating other peoples' motivations and behaviors once you've decided they are not for you anymore. You were married VERY young, and you've both gone through a lot of changes. Pick yourself up with dignity and move on. And by the way, you have no idea what will happen with them - their story is not yet written. Maybe he'll do the same thing to her, some day.

Who in their right mind would leave their wife for Jolie? If all a person is interested in or concerned about is having a "love slave" then they would be doing their wife a favor by leaving--probably without a note--because the guy would be an absolute jerk.

Angelina Jolie doesn't do anything for me. I think she's boring and I can find prettier women in my own home town.
If it was Halle Berry, I might be tempted. But, since that's not going to happen, I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'd leave my wife a note telling her that I'm driving Angelina back to the airport so she could go home. Oh wait........I'm not married........so I'd just leave the note for my girlfriend.

I would set her down and provide some clarification such an offer deserves [rather demands].
What you describe [theoretically] requires a female who is in need of a sense of self. That is, someone who does not "need" a male to define or complete herself. What causes such a state is a deep-seated misperceptions taken-on at birth. In most instances such a misperception can be removed via proper psychotherapy. Unfortunately, "proper" therapy is rarely available.

If the most beautiful and sexy girl of my dreams made such an offer, I'd tell her that I was not interested. I'd say this because because the beautiful girl to whom I am happily married is more than I can handle. She is my help mate in every sense of the word.

I'm not a married man, but if that happened, I hope whoever opens the door tells her to go back and take care of her kids. Something that woman, as much as I like her public image, seems not really up to... oooh I'm making enemies today.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't think Angelina is "God's Gift" ... sure, she's pretty hot but I think Brad did a very, very, VERY big "downgrading" when he dumped Jennifer for Angelina. Now if Jennifer were to show up at my door well ... I'd be gone without a trace ... lol ...
