Girls:
I love Emily, Charlotte, Hannah (Charlotte and Hannah are two of my cousins..they're sisters...and adorable!), Alexa, Anna, Megan, Emma, Natalie, Lucy and Chloe. I think the nickname Charlie for Charlotte is adorable, and Emmy/Emmie could be used for Emma or Emily. Also, Allie/Ally could be used for Alexis or Alexa.
My favorites: Charlotte, Lucy and Chloe.
For boys, I love Benjamin, Daniel, Alexander, Connor and David. Ben, Dan or Danny, Alex, are all great nicknames, and I know someone named David but he goes by Davey!
My favorites: Daniel, Connor, and David.
Good Luck & Congratulations!

Hi
All the names look pretty sensible, I notice you say nicknames, all you have done is shortened the names. A nickname is something the baby will get when he/she becomes a character. It also depends on the surname - write down each name with any middle name along with the surname, see what the initials will be - that will help ur sister make a decision!
My kids all have nicknames but none are the shortened version of their names.
Guess the names - Mr man, Missy, Farley, Stroppy Knickers!
My nephew has always been known (only by myself & hubby) as sponge - he is 19 now, name is Ben but as a baby he just seemed to drain anything dry so the name sponge just stuck - but woe betide anyone else trying to call it him! His mum calls him a few choice words!

OI! You're asking for opinions so where do you get off SHOUTING YOUR ORDERS AT PEOPLE?
Girls:
Lose Jodie (it's awful - keep jo as a diminutive for Josephine or Joanna)
Can't stand Alexis/ Alexa - Alexandra or nothing
Isobella is twee - Isobel is much nicer (and easier to say and spell)
The rest are nice
Boys:
Not a fan of Connor
Jamie is twee on a grown man - keep it as a diminutive of James
The rest are nice
I'd go with Isobel Anna (Izzie) or Hannah Emily for a girl
and I like Frederick James (Freddy) or Thomas Adam (Tam) for the boy

The names she has chosen are all beautiful. The downside is a lot of them are very popular right now. Several of them are in the top 10 (Emily, Emma, Hannah, Isobella) and most of them are in the top 50. If it is important to your sister to choose more unique names for her child, I recommend:
Charlotte: ranked #123 -- Beautiful name; I love it!
Lucy: ranked #152 -- Very sweet name; I love it!
Laura: pretty and classic; it's popularity is declining
Jodie: I don't really like it that much, but it's the least common
The boy names that are way too popular right now are Alexander, David, Daniel, and Joseph, so I would caution her to avoid those. (They are all top 20.)
For boys, I like:
Frederick: I adore this name! It's so strong and classic, but not too common.
Niall: I really like that this is uncommon but still very masculine.

From the girls list I like them all except Natalie, Alexis and Jodie, but they are all OK, I just prefer the others. My favourites are Ellie and Hannah.
From the boys list I like them all except for Frederick (but I like Freddie). My favourites are Alexander and Daniel

For a girl I would go for Alexa/Alexis
An Italian derivative of that is Alessendro which means Defender of mankind.
For boys, Thomas for sure.
For the most part it means twin or one of the 12 apostles.
Both good strong names.
Well, in my opinion

Purely coincidence, but out of those I like Alexa and Alexander (or just Alex)
At least they won't be in a classroom with more than one person sharing that name!! Not like Daniel or Jamie (I have twin brothers with those names and they hated being affiliated with other Daniels or Jamies!)
