Yes, in 1919 when observation of star positions confirmed that Einstein correctly predicted the bending of light in space-time by gravitational masses. This proved that time is the 4th dimension.

PS, there are infintely MORE than 3 dimensions just between the numbers 1, 2 and 3, that is what fractals are. For example, the Sierpinski triangle has fractional dimension of approximately 1.58

Nope, no proof that higher dimensions actually exist.

Higher dimensions are just math concepts used to solve problems that could not be solved without resorting to them. This would be something like 2D people living in a 2D world finding out they could best solve the area of a 2D circle by solving the cross sectional area of a 3D sphere (one higher dimension than the 2D world). And, by a math trick called projection, we know this is possible.

There are three spatial dimensions (e.g., length, width, height) and one temporal (time). So we live in a 4D universe.

Time, more correctly, the rate of passage of time, can be altered, just like the size of a box can be altered. So time is real, not just a math concept. The rate of passage change is given by t = t0/sqrt(1 - (v/c)^2); where t0 is rest time (normal time as you sit and read this answer) and t is the dilated time (slower rate of passage).

The denominator is the so-called Lorentz Transform. If you look at it carefully, you will see that t --> infinity as v --> c the velocity (v) of the frame where the time is observed approaches light speed (c).

At nearly the speed of light, time on a spaceship, for example, might slow down to take millennia on Earth for one second on the ship to click off. What this means is that when those space cadets returned from their star trek, thousands of years will have passed on Earth. They will have traveled forward in time on Earth while barely aging on the ship. If time were not a real dimension, this so-called time dilation would not happen.

in accordance to the string theory, there's a universe for any available element, even the main unbelievable issues, like a universe the place you could meet god. there's a universe the place you probably did no longer ask this question. There are countless universes, of path dimensions are the universes latest interior the comparable area and time, which you need to no longer are conscious of it, yet you're probable under an ocean suitable now, and dinosaurs must be strolling over. the prospect is countless

Atomic clocks work on a constant factor of atomic decay.

Two clocks on Earth measure exactly the same time all the time.

Take one of these and put it into orbit and return it to Earth and they are off by small fraction, thus indicating that TIME is neither arbitrary nor a constant but changes in differents frames of reference.

Hence time must be come a computation factor.

As with length, width and height TIME must be factored on otherwise you are off course when you land a rover on Mars since there is a time delay of 8 minutes to over an hour depending on the distance of Earth to Mars.

Time exists.

There's your forth dimension. Its pretty ease to prove it exists. Move your hand up, down, back and forth. There's 3. Now remember your hand moving while keeping your hand on top of your head. You are looking back at where your hand traveled from in the fourth dimension. Because you know its now on your head this proves time must exist. No math needed. Ain't science great?

Length, width, depth, the general 4th dimension is time. The concept that we are made of molecules could be considered a 4th dimension. Further concepts can go to 10+ dimensions.

It cannot be proven on the physical plane, because the other dimensions of existence exist of vibrational realms which the physical senses cannot perceive.

The individual using his/her intuition may explore these dimensions... but this requires one to rise above ones fear of the "Unknown".

Peace

If you look at electrons they take different paths to arrive at the same space which proves there are more then one dimension...

...........
you don't even know what you are talking about ....
do some research before you ask these

you don't even know what they mean by dimensions ....

first go look at particle theory and wave theory.. thats itself takes a long time to look through..

understand what they mean by 4th dimention "time" and dont find those time machine and travelling in time ...

start from the theory of light and the properties of light and optics.
then look at string theory ....
try to find the connection between those two .. it will help you alot.
