Watched a movie last night "What the Bleep Do We Know?"
Very interesting, to say the least.
What are your thoughts?
Would love to hear from someone with serious insight.
Thanks in advance

Oh, almost forgot one more question...how does quantum physics differ from metaphysics?

Quantum physics is the theory that everything in the universe is quantized. That is that not physical measurement is capable of being reduced infinitely. Like the fact that you can not exactly get one gram of any substance because the atoms of that substance have a set mass. And with energy and plank's constant, you may only get one quanta of energy, there is no intermediate. For example, you can buy a can of soda but you cannot buy half a can of soda, its either the whole thing or nothing.

To answer your second question on metaphysics, yes it is very different form quantum physics. Some of the quastions that metaphysics tries to answer are: What is the nature of reality? Why does the world exist, and what is its origin or source of creation? Does the world exist outside the mind?
If things exist, what is their objective nature? It is more of a phisolophical art than sxience

Yes, this is a very good movie. It really got me interested in physics again after many years of being out of the field. I highly recommend it for people who do not have any formal education or training in physics or the sciences.

The only criticism I do have is that you need to be careful of who is being interviewed in the movie, since there are legitimate scientists as well as self-proclaimed mystics and gurus. Some are presenting facts and some are presenting opinions; some are promoting learning and knowledge, and some are promoting "themselves" for money-making opportunities.

Understand that the film makers were trying to present all sides, both the science and the possibilities, to make the film more interesting (which they have succeeded).

PS - quantum physics is a real science that studies the microscopic world of atoms and elementary particles, whereas metaphysics is basically philosophy, NOT a science.

I enjoyed the movie up until the cheesy animation of our emotions part. Other than that it is fairly accurate to what is actually happening in the quantum world.

Quantum physics is the hard scientific study of the quantum world, what it is and how it behaves. Metaphysics is more of a philosophical mind thought of what is reality and what is being. Wikipedia has a interesting article on metaphysics.

hi Nuff; i in my opinion experience, with honestly no scientific evidence, that each decision we make on a daily basis promises an threat for yet another ( or parallel universe). I join the Robert A. Heinlein concept, in all probability in the previous a while yet, an incredible fiction author. attempt "The style of The Beast" or "Stranger In an odd Land"stable easy relaxing reads. yet time is a severe undertaking, and one i'm afraid I particularly have very fastened notions upon. As i've got self belief God created it,and holds it till, as you may say the time is right, and guy might desire to pass forward in basic terms, residing each 2nd to the fullest, as there is not any going back. "The previous is historic previous, the destiny a secret, we are in a position to in basic terms stay interior the now." yet to punch a hollow into yet another universe, will in all probability take place at some point, what occurs next? nicely which would be an entire diverse universe back. LOL have relaxing with this one! Bob
