I can't say if you should carry on taking metformin but I have pcos and I'm currently taking metformin this is my 4th month on it, it was good in the first 2 months for me, it gave me a reguler cycle but I missed one month, now this month I went from 1000mg to 2000mg this cycle my af is on much longer then usuall, metformin is good to take when having pcos, I've notice alot of changes in my weight, the waY I eat, my neck is starting to blend in with my skin colour, I am currenlty ttc and I also heard that taking metformin will help you in conceiving it is also good to take whiles prregnant it helps prevents misccarriages

I have PCOS and take Metformin. I plan on taking it as long as the doctor wants me to. I have seen so many benefits including wieght loss and my periods are much more normal

I have pcos, but am not on any medication, I recommend you talk to your doctor.
