A large farm house with a wrap-around porch and a porch rail. The windows will be very large to let in lots of light.
Hardwood floors covered with large area rugs. The moulding around the doors and windows will have rosettes in the corners.
Electric outlets will have four plugs each and in the room I designate as the office, the outlets will be at DESK height, not in the corner by the floor, for heaven's sake!
I want at least three bedrooms plus an office area, an eat-in kitchen plus a dining room. The living room and bedrooms will be large enough that I can have some options for re-arranging furniture because I like to change things periodically. Bedrooms will probably be upstairs and so will the laundry (because I don't want to schlep my clothes down the stairs to wash, then up the stairs to put away)
And since it's my ideal home, it will have a water feature - either a pond or a creek somewhere on the property, which will be 2-5 acres. I want to be in the country, not so remote that there's nobody around, but the neighbors would have to walk a bit to get to my door.
There will be lots of trees and flowers, a pretty spot out in back for picnics and a little vegetable garden.

One in good shape, by a lake or ocean but up away from it a bit so no worries about floods. In good shape, decent size too, about 4,500 square feet. Nice office or den inside it as well as a home theater room, pool table, bar area and exercise room. Wine cellar for 5,000 bottles would be neat (filled of course) and a heated swimming pool.
Last but not least, a woman to love and be loved by to share it with plus 2 or 3 dogs.

I'd love a big white house with a wrap around veranda, where I could sit on a rocker in the evenings and watch the sun go down. Preferably beside a lake and with a big garden so I could have pets.

One in the middle of nowhere a mile away from a village, with an attic where my kids will have a little den like place, and a vegetable patch, and loads of land, and a coppice, and a proper country kitchen, and a welly room. Not at all fussy!

something that's shaped like a giant igloo with hi-tech gadgets inside, an oval swimming pool and a big chocolate fountain in the garden so guests can always dip the fresh fruits my maid served them.
