I know that most of the movie was very biblical, especially when Mary visits Elizabeth. But I disagree with most of the rest of the movie. Especially when Mary falls into the river, and the part with the three stars that come together. Does anyone else feel this way? I know that Hollywood had to throw in some drama to make it more exciting, and because the Bible doesn't tell enough of the story to make a great movie, but does anyone else think the same?

If we accept the Nativity as an actual historical event, not just a Biblical story, we also have to accept that, aside from what is in the Gospel of Luke, we don't know the details. The film-makers created a story using not only what was recorded in the gospel, but included a good deal of historical and cultural background, as well as many incidents, which although not recorded, could have happened during the event. As in any historical drama, most of what is portrayed is guesswork, and is included for the purposes of entertainment and drama.
I had no problems with the film personally. It was a moving, probably pretty accurate depiction of the characters and events and historical and cultural circumstances of the gospel story. It held my interest, told its story well, and was well-made. It wasn't made to be an exact facsimile of the gospel story, but to bring the story to the screen as a dramatic interpretation of the story set in as realistic a fashion as the makers could produce. And that's what it did.
