Clearly Cena. Look at his best matches of the year:

vs. Umaga, Royal Rumble.
vs. HBK, Wrestlemania
vs. Edge/RKO/HBK, Backlash.
vs. HBK, Raw

He made UMAGA look good while Umaga was still suffering from mild ring rust!

Batista only has matches with the Undertaker, who carried him through virtually all of them.

Cena has the better skills but Batista has the better strength . Both with their own speciality .

Agreed both aren't that great.But i'm picking Batista simply bcz he's improved his game recently.His 3 matches at Cyber Sunday, Survivor & Armageddon have been better than he would previously been capable of.He worked the matches & carried the fight to Taker/Edge.He's at least working on his range of moves & his finishers on Elijah Burke 2 weeks in a row were pretty stunning.
