If Clinton became president, would trade stop from countries that still view women as second-class citizens?

Not likely, as most of those countries don't deal directly with the Federal government but companies. A test should be Margaret Thatcher of the UK. When she became PM, the british economy finally got out of the toilet and the pound grew to be worth more than any other currency. Thatcher was easily one of the effective British PM's of the last century. So it's pretty safe to say trade would not decrease with a woman at the helm. It's definitely not a valid argument to say that a woman president will hurt the economy. However, there are plenty of other perfectly good reasons not to vote for Hillary Clinton.

your question instead should be: What will Bush do to prevent an election in 2008 and retain his powers? What kind of a natural or perceived threat will come that will allow him to stay in the office of the President?

Read Milton Friedman's economic strategies and see what these governments have been doing all along...
